That is so not necessary

Those are for organic vapors and molecular compounds, or professional overkill. Not necessary for this job (D3 Gold).

OP needs to keep bacteria and virus out of body orifices. N95 masks, gloves, goggles are sufficient and can be had for under 10 dollars. Dump clothes into washing machine when done, hang dry, and you are good to go.

N95 masks are not pieces of shit. They are technically perfect for the job, (assuming you can follow basic fit directions, which is also the same for the respirator you 'recommend')

Why would you need a hazmat suit? we are not talking about anything with cutaneous transmission or poisoning here unless they decided to jump into the can of bleach.

I've done this job myself with a 'mystery' rodent, in hantavirus territory (even before all this latest hoopla around hantavirus), and that is how I've done it, following how all the public health agencies recommend people do at-home cleanup.

I'll wear a half mask, rubber, chemical cartridge respirator for stripping and refinishing wood floors (D3 Gold), but for this kind of clean up, a properly fitting N95 single use mask is fine, with the goggles, gloves and liberal use of bleach.

Industrial cleanup, they'll wear hazmat suits and Hepa cartridges, but that is way overkill for what you need to do, unless you had a whole herd of raccoons living in there for 25 years.
